Dr. Smith was born in Murray, Utah. He spent his childhood here in the Salt Lake Valley and Arlington, Texas. He lived in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil for 2 years serving a church mission. After returning to Utah, he obtained his undergraduate degree at Brigham Young University in 2002.
He attended the University of Louisville in Kentucky for his doctorate degree with internships in pediatric dentistry at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and the University of Colorado. He has practiced in the areas of Sandy, Draper, West Jordan and Millcreek, Utah. Dr. Smith has been practicing dentistry in Utah since 2006.

He is also part of a monthly Spear Education study group in which he discusses treatment plans with 10 other dentists including an oral surgeon, orthodontist, and a periodontist.
Dr. Craig Smith is also a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Dental Association, Utah Dental Association, and Salt Lake Dental Association. He was also the team dentist for the Utah Blaze arena football team when they played in Utah from 2010-2013
When not creating beautiful smiles as a Utah Dentist, Dr. Smith enjoys mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, and being with his 3 children and wife Kim.
